I love snow and winter.  Not the below zero temperatures but those between 15-25, so the snow won't melt.  I get sick in the heat, so I don't like summer time or the heat.

I'm a type 1 diabetic, been one since 1965.  I recently switched from R & N insulin to Humalog & Lantus insulin. I used to take 3-4 injections of Humulin N (which is the long lasting) and R (which is the fast acting) insulin daily.  I now take three injections of the Humalog and one of the Lantus.  I have no plans or desires of getting an insulin pen or pump.  I use the Contour glucose meter.  Currently I own three of them.

I'm a fan of the Oakland Raiders, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics. I have never lived in Boston or Oakland.  I have always loved those teams because of the men who have either coached or played on the teams.  Besides, with their records (well the Raiders haven't had the best record, but they do have my favorite color of BLACK) who wouldn't be a fan of them.

I am a Christian and  have joined a new church on January 22, 2012 because of what the ELCA general Assembly did in 2009.  Basically they decided they no longer believe in what the Bible says.  I believe in Jesus Christ.  He is the only way to salivation. 

I'm married to the same man since 1981.  We have two children and one grandson.  I have a long haired black brindle miniature dachshund named Bear.  Here is a picture of him.
