DBW- My Day in Food- Wildcard

Some people track every bite they eat, some might not remember at lunch time what they had for breakfast or if they even had breakfast. For one day, document everything you or your loved one with diabetes eats and drinks. The good, the bad, the ugly, the proud, the ashamed, the...whatever. We promise not to judge!!

After reading the other posts, I noticed that most of you included the carbohydrates of the foods, a few, put your blood sugars, and pictures of what you ate. I'm not going to include my blood sugars, because that one thing I'm private about. So I have edited this to include the carbohydrates of what I ate. I'm not going to remake a salad, so I don't have a picture of that, but the rest I do.

I'm not a breakfast eater, I haven't been since I turned 10 or 11. That's when my nervous stomach began. If I put anything solid in it before lunch time, I'd vomit it up. So instead, I'd drink my breakfast, I still do.

Also, I do not eat or drink anything that has any artificial sweeteners in it. All artificial sweeteners brings on horrible headaches, increase my migraines and they raise my blood sugar levels just like regular sugar does. Only problem is when I'm low or beginning to go low, they do not raise my blood sugar. None of my doctors can figure that little tidbit out. Last but not least, I do not like the aftertaste they bring on. I've had all types of stevia and it tastes the same to me.

Due to my horrible back pain, sometimes the amount of insulin that should be correct is not. So I'll have to have either a mid morning snack or a mid afternoon snack. And I'm trying to add riding my stationary bike to this mess, so figuring out the correct amount of insulin has added to the mess.

All these foods I have never heard of.

Artificial sweeteners are pretty horrible - and yes they raise my BGL too. I will tolerate them in sugar-free creaming soda though, with a small bolus.

I envy your pop-corn eating abilities....Theres something I can't eat because it raises my BGL. Savour it! Haha.

Ashleigh, I see that you're from Australia so that's probably why you haven't heard of these food items. Sargento is a company brand name. I refuse to use any artificial sweetener due to the horrible after-taste.

Even though I'm on the pump, I haven't switched to the pump jargon yet. You could eat the popcorn, just bolus for that the way you do for the creaming soda!
