Then she told me that she's now doing about 75% research and 25% seeing patients. That's really a shame because she's such a wonderful doctor. But she asked me to be a part of her next study which is of juvenile onset/type 1's and the heart. I feel so honored that the major person of a study has asked me to be a part of it!
I have had Juvenile Onset (type 1) Diabetics since 1965. I switched to the tandem t:slim g4 insulin pump on November 2, 2015. I didn't want to carry a CGM and a pump so I got one that was combined. I had to learn how to count carbohydrates. I have no complications. I do things differently than most diabetics.

Better than most juvenile onsets?
Saw my Endo yesterday, July 26 My A1C was 6.1, this time she wasn't upset with it being there. In the past she said I had too many lows for it being in the 6's. After looking at the printout from Diasend, she told me that I was 88% in range of my Next settings for my blood sugars, according to the diasend pie chart. She said that most type 1's are at 66%! She actually danced when she told me that. So today, decided to open my diasend account look at it. What I saw surprised me. I'm at 92% om range of my CGM settings for my T:Slim's CGM. WOW. Not bad for a juvenile onset new to the pump!
