I have had Juvenile Onset (type 1) Diabetics since 1965. I switched to the tandem t:slim g4 insulin pump on November 2, 2015. I didn't want to carry a CGM and a pump so I got one that was combined. I had to learn how to count carbohydrates. I have no complications. I do things differently than most diabetics.

tablet vs smart phone
I've wanted a smart phone for a long time but my husband hasn't been too keen on them. My daughter said that maybe it wasn't the phone itself I wanted but some of the things it does. So I spent several hours researching tablets after my husband said I could get one. SO I just ordered myself a tablet. I feel pretty good about this. I generally let him order that electronic devices. I got a case for it too. So we'll see if I like my tablet as much as I do my e-reader. I've decided I really like reading books from my e-reader rather than books. I just gave to find all the books I have and get them in the e-reader format.

I did get a tablet. Since I'm still recovering from my cancer surgery, I haven't had a lot of time to play with it. But I have pu several games on it and can access my gmail email, so I'm not totally cut off. Hopefully after I'm healed, I can give a better report on what I think of my kindle. I won't be getting a smart phone, but right now I don't care.
