Allergies

I really hate the medical profession.  If you react to foods or medications, but don't have a swollen tongue, can't breath, or break out in hives, they tell you you don't have an allergy.

Well what about HAY FEVER????  They call that an allergy.  And most people don't get a swollen tongue or break out in hives.  Sure some have problems breathing, but not because their tongue is swollen.

If your body reacts to a food or drug, it's an allergy, pure and simple.  I don't give a rats ass what the medical community says.  So what if all I do is, get red cheeks, my abdomen or ankles will swell up, or I get diarrhea.  I'm reacting to the food or the drug.

People tell me these problems aren't bad.  Well let me tell you, if my abdomen would have swelled as large as it did several years ago, shortly after I had my cancer surgery, I would have been in DEEP trouble.  Because I looked like I was 9 months pregnant.  So please don't tell me that these type of reactions are not problematic, because they are.  And getting diarrhea 5 minutes to an hour after you've eaten or had a medication and you're not near a toilet, not a lot of fun.

If your body reacts to a food or a drug, you're allergic to it, whether you're swelling in your feet, abdomen or throat.
